A match made in heaven? We think so. Needy Greedy – aka Charlotte Butterworth – has created this delicious recipe that combines the sweetness of honey with the saltiness of feta. Enjoy as a light lunch or aperitif hour perfectly paired to a glass of chilled Croft.
Ingredients
- 75g Feta
- 100g Greek Yoghurt
- 30g Cream Cheese
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- 50g Runny Honey
- Half a tsp of Apple Cider Vinegar – optional
- Crisps to serve
Method
- Crumble the feta and put in a bowl with the Greek yoghurt.
- Beat them with an electric mixer until smooth, then beat in the cream cheese in.
- Warm the honey, chili flakes and vinegar (if using) in a pan allow to come to a gentle simmer but do not let boil.
- Simmer gently for about 5 mins – Don’t let it boil or it will be too thick!
- Sieve if you wish (you can retain the sticky chili flakes to use as decoration) then allow to cool a little.
- Pile the whipped feta on a plate, drizzle over the hot honey.
- Serve with crisps or crackers and chilled Croft Original.
